This is an extensive park, covering a lot of territory in the city. We enjoyed our time here even though the weather was cold. Lots of landscaping to admire and places to hike and roam.Full review by Thomas V

Good evening. The Royal Botanical Gardens in Edinburgh is spectacular and is one of the largest city based gardens in the UK or Europe. To answer your question...there is only metered street parking available. My suggestion is that you leave your car parked at the hotel or city garage and then walk to the garden. Everything is close by walking and it is absolutely worth it to stroll through the town before you get to the gardens themselves. You will have a great afternoon. Enjoy!!!!
Are the gardens open all year long? Is anything blooming in September?
A:
Yes, the garden is open year round, but, of course, the flowers vary with the season. There are events in the fall. You can check out their website to see what is scheduled.
