Richview is a village in Washington County, Illinois, United States. The population was 253 at the 2010 census. Richview was originally called "Richmond", and under the latter name was platted in 1839. The present name was adopted in 1852 because of the elevated site of the old town, which afforded a fine view of the surrounding area.
