Took my 6 year old granddaughter to see her first stage play, Frozen. She wore her little Elsa dress (along with all the other little girls), and my daughter went as well. It was a nice three-gener… Full review by Dee41371

My husband is disabled (not in a wheelchair) and needs a seat where no one will climb over him; plus, he's really hard of hearing. We always look for front row seats or end-of-row seats very near the front. Sometimes the stage is high and we're looking straight up in the front row. For the Olney Mainstage theatre, is the first row too close to see over the stage?

Don't know that I've sat in the front row there. The main stage has handicapped seats reached without going down any steps. They are on a level just about even with the stage. The seats are separate chairs. I like to sit there. I think it's row G. The theater is cool. Bring a wrap. For the black box "lab" theater, you can walk in and sit right at stage level and have a good view, it's more like theater in the round, but different shows have different configurations. There are few places to sit waiting for the theater doors to open at this location. The person in charge of group sales, is the sales manager, Weldon Brown, always very helpful in choosing seats. 301 924-4485 X121. Hope this helps. Anne

Thank you for your question. Both Orchestra and Mezzanine seats in the Mainstage theatre give you a great view of the stage (the last row of the Mezzanine is only 50 feet from the stage). For your question about first row mezzanine vs center orchestra third or fourth row, I would recommend the orchestra seats for our current production of THE PRODUCERS. Please let us know if you have any other questions.
Q:
Is the first row mezzanine better than the orchestra or should i go for third or fourth row orchestra

I like to sit in the last row of the mezzanine because I don't have to step down to reach my seat. The orchestra is great. The mezzanine gives a good view too, is reached by stairs or …

I like to sit in the last row of the mezzanine because I don't have to step down to reach my seat. The orchestra is great. The mezzanine gives a good view too, is reached by stairs or elevator and has a rest room on that level. Saw Guys and Dolls from the mezzanine, it was great.
