Go for the Free English Tour at 1230pm. Very good and knowledgeable volunteer guides. Makoto-san was an absolute blast! Full review by SamuelL3269

Took the free 1230pm English tour with Makoto-san. The castle is rebuilt and has cool replicas of the art during that period. Full review by ooimark

When it has finished renovating, it is very wheelchair-friendly. It is already wheelchair-friendly.

Most of attractions in Japan require admission fee. This one is no exception. I believe for adults is 500 Yens.

Good lord no, I think things have changed but inside the castle there are "no photos" signs everywhere and when I was there there was also a very vigilant, very angry security guard …

Good lord no, I think things have changed but inside the castle there are "no photos" signs everywhere and when I was there there was also a very vigilant, very angry security guard that would run up to you if you had your phone or camera out, even signs saying do not text and walk. Outside is fine, but heaven forbid if you take a picture inside.
