It is home to one of the longest straw stalactites found in any tourist cave in Australia, and its decorations vary from towering crystal creations to intricate lace-like formations stretching and suspended across the ceiling.

Fabulous day trip, the workers were extremely friendly and forthcoming with interesting facts & info. The cave was so well maintained with plenty of rest spots and the climb is not easy.Full review by Louise P

There were a couple of young children when we went. They became a bit restless. At one stage, everyone is asked to be quiet while they turn the lights off and the kids kept flashing their lights and giggling during that time. It’s only an hour tour, I guess it depends on the child. Probably not a lot of fun for them.

I would say it very much depends on how many months pregnant you are and your physical ability. There are lots of steps to climb down to get into the main cave area, and as such you have to climb back up them.
Hi would this cave be suitable for elderly? We r thinking of going in Aug. No mobility issues but previously had heart surgery n typically needs some breaks when climbing long flights of stairs. I heard of mammoth but seems like it also has steep steps though fewer unless we want to be confined to the wheelchair friendly area.

I found the steps at the beginning to be quite steep , esp going up them on the way out. We were not told about the 250 steps until we were in the cave itself but I coped very well , I have RA.
Hi I want to take my family to the cave but I was wondering can you take a stroller in? I’ve got a 10 month old child so I don’t really want to carry her around the whole time if I can help it
A:
No, They will not allow you to take a stroller, due to safety reasons. You could take turns at going into the cave as the tour runs regularly.
