Planning on Alcatraz tour during the day on Saturday and dinner in China Town Sat evening. 3 questions: 1) Any suggestions for an authentic Chinese restaurant to have Dim Sum? 2) Are reservations recommended? & 3) any safety concerns other than the usual for women travelers in large cities? Thanks!

One more thing , sorry . Dim Sum shops are walk in shops no reservations. Some of the larger fancy restaurants may need reservations. They have weddings and event on the weekends. Call ahead if you are going to one of these. Other General restaurants are first come first serve. It can get busy during the day. just need to wait in line or on a wait list.Hope this helps.
