It's possible to do a pleasant 3.5 mile loop walk that starts or ends in Nethan gorge with the castle visit in the middle of the walk. I walked clockwise from the car park in Crossford, turning lef… Full review by Derek P

Ok place. I wouldn't really recommend paying £6 to go in unless your using a Historic Scotland card. The castle is surrounded by beautiful woodlands, where a walk should not be missed. Full review by Nimair108
