Bubendorf is a municipality in the district of Liestal in the canton of Basel-Country in Switzerland. Bubendorf is first mentioned in 1152 as Bouenonowe. Bubendorf has an area, as of 2009, of 10.8 square kilometers. Of this area, 4.12 km² or 38.1% is used for agricultural purposes, while 4.98 km² or 46.1% is forested. Of the rest of the land, 1.61 km² or 14.9% is settled, 0.11 km² or 1.0% is either rivers or lakes and 0.02 km² or 0.2% is unproductive land.
